About breastfeeding and surgery: For the best surgical outcome and recovery, we ask patients to have completed their breastfeeding journey before proceeding. This is for several reasons including post-op pain medication, the 12-week compression garment, and your body's natural post-partum recovery — not just anaesthesia, which modern guidelines now consider compatible with breastfeeding. We'd love to support you when the timing's right.
